At the Northern Ireland Masters Championship at Mary Peters on Saturday, Mark Weir won the M35 800m with a seasons best of 2:07.44, Terry Eakin was 2nd M55 at 1500m in 4:59.46, Gerry Coy was 2nd M45 at 5000m in 18:02.28 and Fred Murdoch also at 5000m won the M65 (and M60) in 21:02.28. Excused was Pat O’Driscoll who on Sunday was 3rd M60 in the Longford Half Marathon in 1:52.62 hrs, the same time he ran at Lisburn in June.
