Francis Marsh anchored Herne Hill to silver in the 8 stage M40 British Masters road relay champs in Sutton Park Birmingham on Saturday. With Bristol well clear in first, Francis ran a tactical last leg to hold off Sunderland H with a fast last mile to record 15.40 for the undulating 3 mile lap. The last time he ran at Sutton Park was 24 years ago in the National Youth Relays.
North Belfast came 4th in the M50 relay with Matt Shields taking silver for 2nd fastest leg. NBH came around 13th in the M40 race.
