North Down athletes brought back a big medal haul from the AAI Juvenile Championships of Ireland held at Tullamore on 10th & 11th of July. Double gold medallists were David Keys (RH) U16 DT & HT and Mark Atkinson U15 100 & 200. Peter Glass (RH) won the U17 100mH, placing 3rd in the LJ and 5th at discus. Other gold medallists included: Caroline Oaks (RH) U17 javelin (also 5th at DT, HT, & SP), Jordan Neil U16 3000m, Stacey Mullan U19 100mH (16.58), Scott McAuley (RH) U17 triple jump (12:95).
Other medallists included: Jonathan Kingsberry: (RH) U17 2nd DT, 3rd HT & 2nd SP, Kiki Malamo-Paris 2nd U14 80m, Kathryn Colwell U14 200 and Erin Mullen (RH)U17 100H.Good performances were also set by Kim Shaw: 6th U16 100m and Kerry Iveston 7th U17 800m in a PB. Matthey Heaney did well under the Campbell banner.
