Michael Dyer smashed his 1500m pb by over 6 seconds to clock 3:47.33 for 3rd place in the BMC 1500 A race at the mid-week Watford Open. Having felt a bit tired and flat running 1:53 over 800m in the Amsterdam EAP open last weekend, Michael wasn’t expecting a huge pb improvement. But a few days rest – and with great warm and still conditions – Michael cruised through 800m in 2:01 mid-pack and then moved up well in the latter half of the race. His new pb puts him 2nd overall on the North Down AC’s all-time list behind Jordan Neill’s 3:43 and 2nd on this years NI rankings.
