Multi Event & Closed Chpships

The Multi Event Championships took place in Antrim over the weekend along with the Closed Championships on Saturday. On Saturday Glen Willis and Mark Widdowson took second and third in the U15 boys pentathlon in which Glen reversed the placings with Mark in the last event with a pb at 800m of 2:14.13 min. Roger Dawson was seventh and Glen. Mark and Roger took the first three places in the concluding 800m. In the Closed Championships Kerrie Craig at high jump and Katie Dickson at triple jump both took silver. Sunday was an awful day weatherwise but only the last two decathlon events got the worst of it. Alex Catherwood took bronze in the U13 girls pentathlon which despite the conditions included a massive high jump pb of 1.48m. She was leading until the last event but 800m is obviously not her event and it dragged her down.
