Round 1 of the National League takes place on Sunday, again inevitably it seems the day after the Northern Ireland Championships and Commonwealth Games Trials. Both North Down teams again compete at top level in the two Premier Leagues and will at least open at Antrim.
The men’ team face City of Lisburn, Raheney Shamrocks, City of Derry, Athletics Meath, Ballymena and Antrim, Crusaders and Clonliffe Harriers while the womens’ team face City of Lisburn, Tir Chonail, Athletics Meath and Ballymena and Antrim. Competition starts at 11.30 am with track events from 12.15 pm. Support is welcome as is help with officiating
