Ten North Down runners joined the field of the CIYMS 5 mile fun run around the streets of Belmont and duly burned off that Christmas pudding. Despite being a low key affair, this did not deter most from putting in a hard effort with James Budde leading the field home in 27:43.
Behind James came B&A’s Mark Kirk (28:02), then fast finishing Jordan Neill (28:18) followed by Michael Dyer (29:09) – slowly returning to fitness after a tendonitis injury lay-off. Special mention must be made of Pat O?Driscoll?s performance in achieving truly fantastic negative splits (however his modesty prevented him from disclosing the full statistics for objective analysis).
