Gillian Weir was awarded the Bruce Mulligan Cup for Services to Sport on Friday night at the North Down Sports Advisory Council awards annual dinner and prize presentation at the Marine Court. This award is no stranger to North Down Athletic Club as it has previously been won by David Seaton 2003, Claire Scarth 2005 and Brian Smith 2006. Sports Person of 2009 was Clare Dawson (Roger’s sister), Bangor Swimming Club while the Young Volunteer was Daniel Allen, North Down Special Olympics Club.
