There was another parkrun “special” on News Year Day at Belfast Waterworks with 8 North Down runners taking the opportunity to be first off the starting line in 2013. In action were Simon Cummings, Steve Wise, Terry Eakin, Paul Curran, Sarah Benton, Marie Devine, Kathy Graham and Pat O’Driscoll, who all braved the ice and slipperry conditions. There was a fault in the timer and hence no valid times though posititions were accurate the event will remain on record.
