Davagh Forest, just outside Cookstown was the venue for a 10 mile trail race and 26k challenge run on Saturday. Mark Weir won the 26k race with quite a bit to spare and with one climb in the forest named “The widow maker”, Mark’s recent mountain running experiences were put to good use. His eventual winning time of 1:51:52 was virtually two and half minutes ahead of his nearest rival.
