Omagh Half Marathon – Omagh 26/03/23
The Spar Omagh Half Marathon once again sold out months before the event date on Sunday 26th March. More than 3500 runners registered for the 5k and half marathon on the undulating course from the town through the Co Tyrone countryside.
North Down AC’s Jessica Craig returned from recent superb performances at half marathon and marathon distances in Spain to win the female race in 1:17:52 while the highest placed finishers in the mens race, Dale Murray, Ashley Dixon and Ricky Jordan ensured North Down AC’s men were 3rd placed team.
Dale Murray was first of the NDAC contingent to finish in 10th place in 1:11:46. Ashley Dixon was 20th in 1:14:09 narrowly ahead of Ricky Jordan in 1:14:35. Ross Murray was the next NDAC finisher in 1:15:53 in 29th place. Sandra Hall 1:56:37, Elaine McDonnell Michael Hall 2:07:25, Andrea Green 2:08:31, Heather Matchett 2:15:31 and Glenn Frazer 2:20:03 rounded off fine performances for the club.
