The fourth and final Open Graded Meet took place at Mary Peters on Wednesday evening. With the track season rapidly winding down there are still fit athletes out there looking for personal or seasonal bests. Though the meeting was tarnished by the lack of a photo finish, all the North Down athletes present took away at least an sb and nearly all a pb. Kenny Elliott was second only to Dean Adams in the 100m with 11.3 sec (twice) and easily won the 200m with 22.3 sec, his fastest for many years. At 1500m John Carlisle ran 4:03.4 min (sb), Jordan Stokes 4:17.4 (pb) and Mark Weir rolled back a decade or two with 4:28.1 (sb). At 800m Thomas Simpson ran a pb of 2:13.1 min.
