On a glorious sunny morning in Millisle on Saturday, the locals took all the “get out of jail” cards at the Prison Service 6 mile road race. North Down athletes comprised 17% of the entry, Nick Arkensparr won the race with Mark Weir 2nd (34:57 and 35:25 min), Les Wilkinson won the M50 category and was 6th with Darren McKee 7th, Gary Swenarton won the M60 category and North Down obviously won the team prize. No club girls ran but it was about as close to domination as it gets.
