Nick Irvine ran a parkrun pb of 18:38 min to finish 4th at Victoria Park on Saturday. It’s the time of year when park paths tend to be slippery in the mornings but there was a healthy North Down AC turnout.. Steve Wise ran 20:34, David Seaton 20:46, Sarah Benton 22:22, David Balmer 23:37, Marie Devine 24:02 and Angela Fawthrop a second off her pb in 25:00. Terry Eakin ambled in in 28:31. Jordan Stokes came home first at the head of a staggering 816 field that finished the Bushy Park parkrun – with 16:11 for the multi-terrain 5k. On Sunday Gerry Coy and new recruit Nichola Kinnear tackled the “Round the Griddle” 10K, organised by East Down over a tough hilly course in Saul near Downpatrick. Gerry ran 39:44 for 12th and Nichola 57:01. Both were 5th O45 (the oldest category recognised).
