Alex Donald and Debbie Matchett were top male and female on Saturday at the Waterworks Parkrun where 168 runners took advantage of the fine conditions. After a tussle with Mark Wright, Alex ran 16:20 min for the 5K, not an outright pb but a ParkRun pb while Debbie had 20:32 min. Terry Eakin in 7th position ran 18:18. Again while not an outright 5K pb, this was a ParkRun pb – good going for a man who has run 38 ParkRun events all over the UK. Terry’s time meant he extended his lead at the top of the Belfast ParkRun age-adjusted performance table. Jill Aicken and Sarah Benton were 3rd and 5th lady with times of 21:39 (pb) and 22:42 min.
