More than 600 runners descended on the People’s Park in Portadown on Sunday 12th March for the annual running festival comprising marathon, half marathon and 10k races. The marathon comprised 2 loops between Portadown and Gilford returning via the Newry Canal path. The half marathon was a single lapped course and the 10k used a modified loop with each race finishing in the park. Donald Smith completed the marathon in 33rd place in 3:52:34. Jason McMinn was the first of the North Down half marathon runners finishing in 11th place in 1:19:33 followed by Alan Massey, 1:29:04, Andy Belshaw, 1:29:57, Stuart Anderson, 1:31:44, Stephanie Graham, 1:32:01, Dean Willis, 1:29:36, Lisa Tomalin 1:36:40, Helen Byers, 1:36:43 and Glynnis Boyle, 1:41:34.
