The popular annual Portaferry 10 miler, ran as part of the town’s festival week, attracted over 300 entries of which there were individual and teams who ran two legs of 5 miles.
The race attracted at least 20 North Down runners and 1 team which the analysts put down to the race featuring as part of the clubs’ Grand Prix series. Andrew Muir took full points as he was first club runner home in a magnificent 27th place recording 1:06:33. Ben Caughers finished in 1:07:30 which placed him 29th and Gerry Irvine was next in 37th with 1:08:11. Philip Mulligan returned in 44th, 1:08:47 before Frankie Rea notched up another O60 win as he recorded 1:11:17 placing himself 63rd overall.
Nicola and Chris Downey finished 4th mixed team as they completed in 1:12:01.
