The Race over the Glens is a tough off-road trail race from Glenariff Forest Park over 5.5 miles of very hilly terrain and there were 229 finishers in the Glens of Antrim on New Years Day. Les Wilkinson was first in for North Down in 39:45 min in 36th place and was 2nd M50. Paul Galloway was 115th in 47:16 min. Ange Perrott was 143rd in 49:34 min and was 15th Lady. Norman Lellyett was 169th in 52:33 min and was 4th M60. Course specialist Jarlath Falls of Ballymena retained his title for his 5th win in 6 years with Anne Paul of City of Derry again top lady.
