[Not a valid template][Not a valid template]The weather looked far from promising on Thursday evening before the Queen “Round the Houses” 5K Road Race and it was windy, drizzling and cold. No hint of what was to come for the North Down AC contingent – that it was personal bests that were about to rain down. All five girls and three of the men beat their 5K bests and the girls took most of the loot. Jessica Craig was 3rd in the race, Rachel Gibson was 5th, 1st open lady outside the first 3 and 1st female student. Stephanie Hambling was 1st over 40, Debbie Matchett was 1st over 45 and Ange Perrott was 1st over 35 while Jessica, Rachel and Stephanie were the the 1st team. For the men, Francis Marsh was recovering from a heavy cold but was 1st over 45 and Thomas Simpson, Nick Irvine and Andrew Muir had their best ever 5K. Mens Captain John McGarvey had his best time for 4 years.
