Two for the Podium at Woodford Green Decathlon

Wed 25 April 2012

The Woodford Green decathlon took place over the weekend, slightly earlier than previously with conditions to match. Swirling blustery winds mainly ino the face kept scores down and both Tom Reynolds and Pete Glass were down on their best.  However along with Kevin Sempers of Harrow, they were the class of the field and the finishing scores were Sempers  7242, Tom 6952 and Pete 6787. Tom went into an early lead and held it from Sempers for the first four events, exchanging positions after the 400m, the last event on the first day. Tom regained the lead on the second day, held it through hurdles and discus with Sempers taking over for the final three. Pete who held third throughout had a pb at 400m.

Along with club captain Kenny Elliott, Pete and Tom then headed South to the Med for some warm weather training.
