The Wallace Park Road Relays took place on Saturday in miserable wet conditions with North Down U19 and U14 teams both finishing 3rd in their respective races. The U19 race was 3 x 2200m and the first leg produced nearly a blanket finish with Mark Patterson 2nd in 6:44 min. Jordan Stokes was 4th in 7:10 min and Brian Barron ran 7:13 min in the final leg to pass the Dromore athlete to bring the tean in 3rd behind St Malachy"s and Lagan Valley. The U14 race was a 1400m race with Glen Willis 2nd in 4:19 min, Roger Dawson 16th in 4:45 min and Harry Speers 20th in 4:54 min taking 3rd team behind Coleraine Inst and Lagan Valley. In Mansfield, Francis Marsh came away with a winners medal when he helped Herne Hill Harriers take the M40 title in the British Masters 6 x 4K cross country relay Championsips. Francis ran 13:46 min for the 3rd leg.
