Most of the club write ups record North Down AC members racing set distances on track, road or trails and taking part in jumping and throwing events infield, but Reuben Dunne went 2 better at the Fingal Triathlon Club’s Skerries Junior Triathlon north of Dublin on Sunday 16th July where he came 11th in his age group. Like the adult and older juvenile races his triathlon comprised a sea swim, transition where he had to quickly get out of his wetsuit and into cycling gear for a road cycle through the town centre before returning to transition to rack his bike and head out on the run. Reuben raced in the 8-9 age group and completed the 100m swim in 3:18, took 2:59 in T1, and cycled 2k in 9:42 before a quicker T2 and a speedy 3:02 800m run on the coastal path, completing the tri in 21:06!
