Cold, wet and windy it may have been but there was a good attendance at the 4th of the River Rock Series at Mary Peters with several senior guests. Richard Lockhart shrugged off his disappointing results at the AAI Championships by just missing his 6Kg hammer pb with 49.06m and had a 10.27m 7.26Kg shot. The middle distance event was 800m and James Budde was marginally outside 2 minutes despite it being Michael Dyer’s turn to set the pace. Similarly John Carlisle just missed 2.10 but got 2nd place. David Keys threw the hammer 43.75m and Matt Heaney had 26.81m at javelin. Once again Hannah Lewis was the class of the girls and added the 100m in 13.0 to her sprint double of the previous night.
