With cross country now virtually over and track a few weeks away, the spotlight now falls on road racing and the weekend saw a large number on offer, in and out of the province. In the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday, Francis Marsh was in top form, finishing 30th in 73:47 min, 1st M45 and 2nd overall master. Another good result came in Donegal on Saturday at the Cara Bundoran 10 mile race where Dennis Scott was 10th in a big new pb of 57:48 min. Nearer home at the Albertville 5 miler round the Duncrue Industrial Estate, there were runs from Nick Irvine 26th, David McMeechan 42nd and M60 winner David Seaton.
