[Not a valid template][Not a valid template]It was time for RunHer again at Stormont on Sunday with a massive entry for the women only 5K and 10K. A change of course resulted in a spectacular start and finish in front of Parliament Buildings and a 5K course with a brutal uphill finish. North Down’s RunHer specialists were to the fore again with podium finishes for Jessica Craig and Rachel Gibson, 2nd and 3rd at 5K in 19:00 and 19:28 min and for Julie Balmer who was 2nd at 10K in 37:26.
Others in the 5K were Zara Mulholland, 11th in 23:19; Frances Mitchell, 14th in 24:15 and Alison Downey in 24:24. In the 10K, Janet Toal was 31st in 52:07.
Melissa Eccles had a really bad day. She came through the first lap of the 10K in 5th, ran hard on the subsequent downhill to get to 3rd and took the turn at the wrong car park. After getting back on course, she went through in about 8th, only to be excluded from the results. If its any positive, it was a brilliant run.
