Ireland were 2nd to England at Tullamore in the Schools International with Wales 3rd and Scotland 4th. With the English Schools Championships only last weekend, they were at full strength. Amy Foster contributed a lot, winning the 100m in 12.1 secs and 2nd in the 200m in a good time of 24.75 secs. She also anchored the 4 x 100m relay which was 2nd by a hundredth of a second. The girl of the moment, Amy now heads to Kaunas in Lithuania for the European Junior (U20) Championships from the 21st to 24th July where she is entered for 100m and 200m. also competed at Tullamore and finished 7th in the discus with 39.55m.
