On Saturday Troy McConville competed for Irish Schools at the Combined Events International at the indoor arena at Athlone. Troy broke his previous points total record by over 200 points when earning 3112 points which was good enough to claim 5th place overall. This contributed to the Irish team finishing in 2nd place.

Nearly 200 runners attended this years’ Crossgar Harriers organised Santa run in the town covering a route of 5k. Paul Galloway donned his Santa hat and enjoyed the largely off road course to record 25:13 which placed him 12th and then enjoyed the festive spread afterwards.
