Fresh from his ultrarunning adventures in the Alps Seán Nickell was back in action at a local ultra at the weekend. He was joined by clubmate Jill Connolly whose most recent ultramarathon was 100 miles along the route of the Berlin Wall. The Lecale Way route began at Strangford and followed a mixture of roads, trails, beach and the old railway line past Dundrum en route to the finish line in Newcastle. Seán finished 6th in 5:32:52 and Jill was 30th in 6:44:58.
