And they say we only do track and field. Out of 76 finishers at the NIVAA 5 mile Road Race, 24 were North Down. Including 5 over 60, 3 under 18, 2 sets of father and son and 7 female. Seriously there has been a lot of work done in the Monday night group recently and its great to see so many out, particularly the first timers. All on a night when there was also a big meeting at the Sportsplex.
In other recent action, Fred Murdock and Pat O’Driscoll got category prizes at the Scott and Gault 10 Mile Road Race and on the mountains, Kerry Iveston, Mark Hopkins and Roma McConville featured well in the Lurig Challenge in the Glens.
