Ulster Schools double medallists Hannah Lewis and Tasha Paxton were in total control at U17 and U15 level at the Spar Sprints Meeting on Thurday at Antrim. Hannah won U17 100m in 12.8 and 200m in 25.9 with Tasha 1st U15 with 12.84 at 100m and 26.4 at 200m. In the Senior Mens 300m, John Saulters won his heat in 36.0 and was fastest overall but the photo finish was only working in the other heat, leaving Tasha in the 100m the only one to get an electric time. Two days earlier at the Jumps and Throws Meeting at Mary Peters Track, Jeremy Harper won the Senior Shot with 13.45m and the 56lb Weight with 6.22m.
