[Not a valid template]Hannah Lewis and David Keys both had double wins, retaining their titles of last year, and there were one-twos in the Inter Boys 800m and Senior Girls 400m. Other wins came from Amy Foster, Alison Lavery, Katie Hewitt, Kerrie Craig, Ben Reynolds and Matthew Hamilton. There were lots of other medallists inluding ones from Jordan Neil, Kim Shaw, Kiki Malomo Paris, Lauren Scott, Niall Robinson, Sophie Reynolds and Clare Pollock. Sunshine and blustery showers were forecast and so it proved. Plus it was very cold and the wind was mostly into the back straight (and practically gale force on the Friday evening session). In terms of comparing performances this was all relevant.

David retained the Senior hammer and discus titles with throws of 46.53 and 41.73m..Similarly Hannah retained the Inter 200m and long jump titles with 25.7 secs and 5.34m. Kiki was 2nd in the long jump with 4.95m, easily won the 100m semi final in 12.6 secs but had a nasty looking fall when leading the final. Alison reversed the Senior 400m Districts placings with Kim by winning in 60.2 secs with Kim next in 60.9 secs. Amy has had injury problems but started her season by retaining the Senior 200m in 24.7 sec, equalling her record of a year ago. Ben won the Inter 100m hurdles in 14.3 sec and was 2nd at pole vault with 3.40m. Katie won the Senior 400m hurdles in 69.0 sec and was 3rd in the sprint hurdles in 20.0 sec, a race in which Sophie was 2nd in 17.3 sec. Of the new kids on the block Matthew  won the Minor long jump with 4.62m and Clare won silver in the Minor 100m with 14.0 secs (13.9 in the semi final).

The middle distance squad has been in good form this season and Mark and Niall had the two fastest times going into the Inter 800m. Mark started with a fast pace but was pressed hard by Stephen Rooney before pulling away to win in 2:00.3 min and collect the Jimmy Murray Trophy. Niall ran a much more controlled race and came through the field to take 2nd in 2:01.7 min. In the Senior 1500m Jordan had a hard tissle with Donegal runner I Ward and was a close 2nd in 4:02.7, a club U20 record. Lauren Scott was 3rd in the Senior 800m and Jessica Craig 4th in the 1500m while Robin Brown was also 4th in the 5000m.
