At Mallusk, virtually everybody from the club qualified for the Irish Schools in one way or another. In an action-packed day, highlights included a bronze for Jordan Neil, closing fast and a few seconds off 2nd; Jessica, Lauren and Nicola packing 6th, 7th and 8th and an 8th in the Seniors for Jamie.
Qualification for the Irish Schools is first twelve automatic, first three teams and top six outside if needed. Whether or not schools and parents choose to make the long journey to Dungarvan, qualification fom the huge fields is a great achievement.
Bangor Grammar had another good day with Jordan’s third, team thirds at Junior and Intermediate and a team fourth for the Minors where Josh Lowry had a good twelth in trainers after his spikes went walkabout. The Intermediate Girls ran as they have done all Winter, only with Glenlola lacking a third girl for a team and Nicola an Individual. Kerry and Kalina were in third-placed teams. Jamie took a lot of scalps for another top ten finish.
