The Ulster Schools Multi Events Championsips were held at Bangor Sportsplex on Thursday. North Down"s latest recruit Jodie Murphy cruised to the senior girls pentathlon title and goes through to the Irish Schools Championships on Saturday. The Northern Ireland U20 Heptathlon Champion was nursing a sore leg and with Santry in mind was cautious. She had 17.5 sec for 100m hurdles (499 points), 1.39m for high jump (502), 4.69m for long jump (477), 9.49m for shot (496) and did an incomplete 800m. After Santry, the Irish teams of four, senior and intermediate, boys and girls will be held for the Schools Combined Events International, held indoors in Glasgow on 5th December.
