It was windy and cold but bright and sunny with the going soft after the previous night”s storm. North Down runners had a thing for 10th place with John Carlisle at Senior Boys, Nicola Simpson at Senior Girls and Lauren Scott at Intermediate Girls all in that position. There were good runs also from Robin Brown, 13th in Intermediate Boys; Jessica Craig, 16th in Intermediate Girls; Kerry Iveston, 22nd in Senior Girls; and Mark Patterson, 28th Intermediate Boys. All were trumped however by Mark Armstrong who had a great finish in the Minor Boys going from 10th to 7th in the closing stages.
