To all athletes, parents of juniors and coaches: We are looking to put together a list of volunteers to transport the club tent to events over the next few months. It proved invaluable at the XC races last season as a place to take shelter and change, and in providing a dry place to leave kit bags. It’s also a good promotional tool for the club. Ideally, we would have one person transport it to an event and erect it (with the help of a second person), and then another person (plus partner) take responsibility for dismantling it after and transporting it home. Due to its size and shape, it requires quite a big boot or even a trailer!! If you can’t offer transportation, consider going on the list to help with the cleaning of the tent and tarp after the event. Initial dates for events are Oct 4th (Victoria park), 11th Oct (Comber Cup), 25th Oct (Bobby Rea), 1st Nov (Springwell), 8th Nov (McConnell Shield), 6th Dec (Malcolm Cup) and 20th Dec (NW XC).
