It was a quiet weekend locally though a few athletes were in action elsewhere. Niall Robinson ran at the Birmingham Indoor Games where he was 3rd in the 1500m in 3:53.57 min. Also indoors Alan Kennedy represented UU in Nenagh at the Irish Universities Indoor Championships, finishing 2nd in the triple jump with 14.55m and 4t at long jump with 6.84m. In Cardiff Robin Brown, running for Cambridge, was 34th in the British Universities Cross Country Championships: in the ‘b’ mens race, Josh Lowry (running for Loughborough) was 185th out of 358 finishers. Nearer home even the local ParkRuns only attracted one runner from NDAC. Lynne Kerr was 1st lady at Victoria Park. in 22:29 min.
