Jessica Craig, Telford 10k, 15/12/24

The Telford 10k in Shropshire is one of the fastest 10k road races in the UK. The 2 lap route which is generally flat and sheltered affords runners a great chance to round off  a year of training with a speedy road 10k. Jessica Craig tackled this year’s event on Sunday 15th December finishing 9th senior female in 33:58, a season’s best and within 6 seconds of her PB.

Camlough Lake Run, 22/12/24

Runners know it’s definitely time to start making the final preparations for Christmas when the annual Camlough Lake Run rolls around. This year the athletes endured 7 hilly miles of rain, sleet, snow and wind while they lapped the lake in the rolling south Armagh countryside. 5 North Down AC athletes headed to Camlough for the race with Andrew Muir the first club finisher in 58:41. Mick Hall was the next NDAC runner to cross the line in 1:09:53 ahead of Sandra Hall 1:21:44, Andrea Green 1:22:07 and Pat O’Driscoll 1:38:42.

North Down AC presentation to Transplant Sport NI

At the club’s 50th anniversary ball in October members donated money towards the valuable work of Transplant Sports NI who provide sporting and recreational activities to help rehabilitate individuals after their transplant surgery. Thanks to the generosity of club members we were able to present a cheque for £1190 to representatives of Transplant Sport NI, including NDAC member Jenny Keery, at Bangor parkrun on 21st December.
