Happy New Year to all and especially members of North Down AC. Early events to be thinking about include the start of the truncated domestic indoor season and Cross Country Championships. With the end of the Odyssey Championships, local indoor competition is confined to two graded events at Jordanstown on the 10th and 24th January (2.00pm – 5.00pm) and the Northern Ireland and Ulster Age Group Championships at Magherafelt on 31st Jan – 1st Feb. (There is much more competition at Athlone). For details see the ANI website. Cross Country athletes wishing to be included in the club entry for the Masters and Intermediate (formerly Junior) Championships at Coleraine Campus 17th Jan should contact Club Captains Sarah Benton or John McGarvey immediately. Again details are on the ANI site. Incidentally the Stormont XC has moved from 28th Feb to the 31st Jan, making the NI & Ulster Senior Championships the final league date of the ANI series.
