A heavily depleted Senior Womens’ team never threw in the towel and battled down to the last lap of the last event, finishing 2nd to City of Derry with Lagan Valley 3rd. Leading with an hour to go, failure to contest hurdles and high jump utimately proved decisive but the Derry girls were forced to contest everything. The 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m relays were NIAF Championships and there were silver medals won in both.
