Tom has been in excellent early season form and his results were 100m 11.30 sec 795 points, long jump 6.43m 682 points, shot 11.89m 600 points, high jump 1.85m 670 points, 400m 50.59 sec 788 points.
Peter Glass was on course for a good score but pulled a hamstring in the last event of the day resulting in a low score. He obviosly had extensive physiotherapy but can only wait to see if he can do the second day. He is still 8th Junior with 3191 points after scoring 100m 11.50 sec 753 points, long jump 6.80m 767 points, shot 12.45m 634 points, high jump 1.91m 723 points, 400m 63.10 sec 314 points. The long jump is a personal best.
Brendan McConville, who has been struggling with a work-related accident, was in 13th place with 3359 points after 100m 11.64 sec 723 points, long jump 6.59m 718 points, shot 12.19m 618 points, high jump 1.73m 569 points, 400m 51.85 sec 731 points. He may be far from fully fit but with Tom poised to break the 7000 barrier he is bound to want to be there until the end.
