World Mountain Running

Kerry Iveston represented Northern Ireland on Sunday in Bursa (Turkey) at the World Mountain Trophy. With the Junior Women running 3409m of an uphill-only course. Kerry was 39th in 27.28 with Michelle Sturm of Omagh 35th in just over 27 minutes. It was enough to put Northern Ireland 16th in the Junior Womens team race, 3 points behind Wales and 3 ahead of the Republic – the first time they featured in the team race. The Senior Men and Womens” teams were 22nd and 15th and the Junior Men 17th.Kerry and Michelle next race on home soil at Slieve Gallion in the British Juniors on 8th October.
