YAL Round 1, Antrim

OK there were competing schools matches but it was still only a token girls team and only two U13 boys, so there was never going to be a great score. Full marks however to those who turned up who worked very hard and had some good performances. To no great surprise middle distance and throws produced more of the results and there was another 800m pb from Jordan Stokes of 2:04.6 min and Brian Barron and Matthew McMullan had 3000m and steeplechase wins. However unless girls turn out in better numbers, the league is going to be a struggle. However, despite being drawn against the two strongest teams in the competion, the team is still in 5th overall and well on the way to the final.
