Round 2 of the Young Athletes League was a lot further away but North Down had a much better turnout with a full coachload in Derry. There was still only Kayleigh Walsh and Niall McGrattan in the U13 age groups but the other age groups were covered. U17 boys and girls both won their matches and U15 boys and girls were 2nd and 3rd respectively moving the club up to 4th overall. There is only one more qualifying match but as it is in Bangor on a Tuesday evening in June, a full turnout is virtually assured along with a place in the final. Full marks to all the U17″s who had done the Schools Districts the previous day and had a full programme to contend with but they all coped well.
