Mary Peters track hosted this year’s event on Friday and Saturday.
Craig McMeechan was the sole ND representative and raced in the 1500M heat on Friday night followed by the final on Saturday. With the first 4 in each heat to qualify followed by the 4 fastest losers, Craig qualified as a fastest loser after finishing 5th in heat one. Interestingly all 4 of the fastest losers came from heat one as the second heat was ran significantly slower than the first. His time in qualifying, 4:04:04 represented an outdoor pb after his indoor time of 4:03:80 earlier this year.
The final was a slower, more tactical race and Craig once again finished 5th after finding himself blocked in as the breaks took place, finishing in 4:07:34.
