At a well-attended AGM on Wednesday evening, the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer all reported another successful year in 2010. Roy Kerr took the chair having completed his first year in office and was re-elected. Kenny Elliott and James Budde retain their roles as Mens” Track and Field and Endurance Captains .as does Ange Perrott as Ladies Endurance Captain. The post of Ladies Track and Field Captain will be confirmed closer to the track season. Other officers were re-elected with the addition of Paddy McGrattan to the Committee..
Reports on the recent year were recorded by the Secretary and Treasurer both emphasising the healthy position of the club. The club is proud to have two members representing Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, Tom Reynolds at decathlon and Amy Foster at 100m and 200m and Mark Patterson was a semi-finalist at the World Juniors in New Brunswick. The recent huge improvement in endurance events continud with the men winning the MConnell Shield and silver in the Northern Ireland Juniors in Donegal. The the ladies retained the Laganside and Bangor 10K team events among others which included winning the Intermediate cross country Championship. At the British Masters Club Championships, the club were British Champions at F35-45 and M60-70 levels.
