Most of the club”s big hitters went through to the Ulster Schools at the District “A” Championships (County Down) in Delamont Park. Highlights were a clean sweep in the Senior Girls race and three of the top five in the Senior Boys event. All of the local schools can feel pleased with Sullivan probably best across the events, Bangor Grammar winning the Intermediate Boys and getting all their teams except Minors through and Strangford probably the biggest improvers.Nicola Simpson made no mistakes and ended her schools career as District Senior Champion with Lauren Scott second and Katie Hewitt third. Robin Brown was an impressive second in the Senior Boys with John Carlisle and Jordan Neil top five. Mark Patterson was also top five and was unlucky to miss an Intermediate medal. Josh Lowry and Mark Armstrong had strong Junior runs while Brian Barron and Thomas Simpson get to go their first Ulster Schools Championships.
