The new purpose built indoor arena at Abbotstown hosted this years track and field events over the weekend. Rachel Gibson – 1500M, Ben Reynolds – 60M hurdles and Michael Dyer – 1500M represented the club while Adam McComb – 400M represented the University of Ulster AC.
Ben competed at the British Athletics GP in Birmingham on Saturday finishing 5th and then toed the line in Dublin on Sunday. Crossing the line in 7.83 seconds Ben won by 0.11 of a second and was nearly 0.5 ahead of 3rd. Rachel Gibson clocked 4:32:23 when finishing 4th in the 1500M and Michael Dyer ran 4:00:83 in the men’s equivalent to finish 9th. Adam was 6th in his race recording 49.90.
