Navan was the venue for the climax to the regional age group cross country and the senior novice races. The weather featured at the venue in the shape of storm Deirdre which made racing conditions difficult.
Lauren Cheatley was in the first race of the day, the U11 girls where she finished in 83rd with Eva Gibson finishing 143rd in the same race. In the U13 girls Lucy Cheatley came in 73rd spot and in the U15 girls Tara McDonough was part of the 3rd placed Ulster team as she finished 21st and 5th Ulster counter and Morgan Wilson returned in 134th.
The strong U17 girls team finished 5th and were led home by Amelia Tyler in 29th which placed her 4th Ulster counter in a bronze winning regional team. Murphy Millar returned in a decent 44th followed by Caitlin Turner in 54th, sister Alisha 70th, Bryanna Catney 81st, Rachel Gillespie 88th and Megan Briggs 92nd. Our only boy to feature was Thomas Patterson in the U19 race where he finished 43rd.
Sarah Grant had a great run in the highly competitive ladies Novice race where she featured in the lead group throughout and was unlucky not to medal when she finished in 4th. Rio Catney managed 64th spot despite interrupted training due to an injury.
