Despite terible weather, North Down AC got the cross country season back on track in a big way on Saturday at the Bobby Rea Meeting in Rostrevor. The women had a magnificent turnout of 15 finishers which, added to team victory by Rachel Gibson (3rd), Kerry Speers (7th) and Roberta Dornan (12th), gave them maximum points in Round 2 of the NIA Cross Country League. In the Open Mens Race, there were 8 finishers and 2nd place in the teams (both 3 to count in the race and 4 to count in the league) with Francis Marsh (15th), James Budde (20th), Mark Weir (27th) and Chris Speers (33rd).
Congratulations to all involved in both teams as this meeting has one of the strongest fields in the domestic XC calendar.
