A healthy turnout of North Down runners attended the popular 10 mile road race staged as part of the annual Portaferry festival. 14 individuals ran the race with a few others participating in the 2 x 5 mile relay. Thankfully the main thrust of the recent heat wave had eased, although running for over an hour in 20 degree heat is exhausting.
